The Fiat 500

The Fiat 500 the most retro style city car currently on sale, it is almost a carbon copy of the 1950’s original. It is also Fiat’s best selling car in the UK.
Fiat has widened the personalization options with this new facelift model, new colors have been added to the already existing color pallet, you can choose new roof pattern styles, and something called “second skin” that covers the upper part in vinyl.
The dashboard is logically laid out, and features lots of glossy plastic buttons, which gives the 500 a classy feel. However, this gloss finish can show up scratches easily if you’re not careful and light dashboard colours can be reflected in the windows when the sun is low.
The entry-level Pop model does not have the Uconnect infotainment system, but features a radio with a colour display, USB connection and steering-wheel mounted controls. You also get ‘halo-effect’ LED daytime running lights, but in truth,. The Pop Star trim adds air-conditioning, heated door mirrors, alloy wheels and 50:50 split-folding rear seats. The top-of-the-range Lounge model has a panoramic sunroof, rear parking sensors, front foglights and Fiat’s Uconnect infotainment system.
The Fiat 500 is small, but its well packaged interior has decent space for four adults. Even with a six-footer at the wheel, there’s just about enough room for a passenger behind, although getting in and out is tricky due to the 500’s three-door layout.
Despite the 500’s compact exterior dimensions, the boot is quite impressive, it has the largest booth space in its class , it can take 185 liters. The narrow opening in the back means that loading bulky items is a bit hard.
